A family business:
passion and transmission

The story of this family business began in 1972, when Hilaire Mendoza set up a forestry operation in Laignes, in the heart of the Burgundy mountains. In 1975, it became a sawmill specializing in oak processing.

Since then, the passion for this natural material, expertise and know-how have been passed on to each generation: in 1987, Hilaire’s three sons, Martial, Christian and Francis, took over from their father at the helm of Scierie Mendoza. In 2007, Franck, Christophe, Fabien and Miguel took over, becoming the third generation to continue the family sawmill and proudly uphold its values of excellence.
