Techniques: drying and storage control

Drying is an essential stage, requiring precise, rigorous know-how to obtain a finished product that is fit for purpose. To achieve the desired moisture content, the MENDOZA sawmill has 450 m3 of traditional dryers and 15 m3 of vacuum dryers for thicker lumber. The thermal energy used for drying comes from a recent biomass boiler, fuelled by the bark generated by the sawmill’s production.

Several covered areas under hangars enable us to store our planks, trays and lumber in order to re-dry the wood under the best possible conditions and preserve the quality of our products.

Production tools: performance and efficiency

In order to offer top-quality products, we pay close attention to the choice of our modern, high-performance machinery, investing in equipment with optimized yields and performance.

Our sawmill processes around 20,000 m3 of logs a year, and therefore opts for production tools that are regularly renewed throughout the various stages of woodworking and its transformation into materials.

People: expertise, experience, skills

At the head of this family-run sawmill, the third generation continues to pass on their passion for wood to all their employees. The MENDOZA family’s experience family’s experience at every stage, from the choice of wood to the manufacture of the various products, the commitment of our qualified professionals and the trusting relationships that bind our teams, enable us to put our skills and knowledge to work in the manufacture of materials of excellence.

Our sawmill holds certifications attesting to the origin and quality of our products.
