Scierie Mendoza,
Oak is our specialty

The frames

There are many uses for oak structural timber: interior or exterior construction, renovation… For the framework of traditional or timber-framed houses, oak is the ideal species, thanks to its great strength and resistance to the vagaries of the weather. The MENDOZA sawmill offers several grades of oak framework, selected and processed on site, and sold freshly sawn or kiln-dried.

Sound sapwood permitted on two edges.

The studs

Oak planks are mainly sawn from the butt logs, into boards of a single thickness, and then reconstituted. All planks come from the same tree, ensuring perfect homogeneity of color and grain.
Our sawmill stocks a wide range of wood thicknesses and qualities, both air-dried and kiln-dried.

Landscape traverse

Landscape sleepers in oak, or wood under rails, are strong, durable pieces of wood often used in outdoor landscaping projects to delineate, structure or decorate green spaces. Thanks to its natural sturdiness, oak is a first-rate choice for work requiring aesthetics, functionality and weather resistance.
